Start with a problem people actually have. Build something they can try, then use their feedback to improve it.
Spend time in unfamiliar settings and get to know people who see things differently. Use what you learn in your projects.

Practice explaining your ideas in writing and in presentations. Learn to listen to your teammates and lead a project together.
